Package: utf8-migration-tool Version: 0.4.1 Severity: important -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA1
The program crashes on startup with the following message: Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/utf8migrationtool", line 45, in ? dmrc.set(section, option, locale.getlocale(locale.LC_ALL)[0]) File "/usr/lib/python2.4/locale.py", line 364, in getlocale raise TypeError, 'category LC_ALL is not supported' TypeError: category LC_ALL is not supported Changing LC_ALL to any other locale gives the same result. Unsetting LC_ALL, or setting it to something in valid results in: (utf8migrationtool:23957): Gtk-WARNING **: Locale not supported by C library. Using the fallback 'C' locale. Traceback (most recent call last): File "/usr/bin/utf8migrationtool", line 77, in ? w['Login'].newLocale = w['Login'].currentLocale + ".UTF-8" TypeError: unsupported operand type(s) for +: 'NoneType' and 'str' I suppose that running this with an invalid locale setting is not supported, but that should be handled more gracefully. But perhaps it's related to the problem reported above, so I included it to be on the safe side. I've also tried running it as a newly created user, with the same result. - -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-3-686 Locale: LANG=nl_NL.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=nl_NL.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) (ignored: LC_ALL set to nl_NL.UTF-8) Versions of packages utf8-migration-tool depends on: ii python 2.4.4-2 An interactive high-level object-o ii python-glade2 2.8.6-8 GTK+ bindings: Glade support ii python-gtk2 2.8.6-8 Python bindings for the GTK+ widge ii python-support 0.5.6 automated rebuilding support for p utf8-migration-tool recommends no packages. - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.6 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFoFu8IhQIPPgOSvcRAhdGAKCARzBVrT1VnSxtrk5znHgYohFrZwCcCboE EPFcf1h2uC1n1WCKgrv4rpA= =Y13V -----END PGP SIGNATURE----- -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
