Package: digikam Version: 1:0.9.0~beta3-3 Severity: normal I have my photos on an NFS share with some ACLs. When I try to edit a picture with Digikam, for example to rotate it, and then save the changes, I get a warning dialog, saying I do not have permissions to write to the file, and asking if it should save it anyway.
When I answer "yes", it saves the image just fine. I do have write permissions on the file, but they are given by ACLs (and not by standard permissions). Apparently digikam only checks the permission bits and decides, incorrectly, that I don't have write permission. Digikam should simply try to save the file, and only complain if that fails. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (990, 'testing'), (500, 'unstable'), (500, 'stable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.19-rc6-kelev Locale: LANG=sv_SE.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=sv_SE.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages digikam depends on: ii kdelibs4c2a 4:3.5.5a.dfsg.1-5 core libraries and binaries for al ii libacl1 2.2.41-1 Access control list shared library ii libart-2.0-2 2.3.17-1 Library of functions for 2D graphi ii libattr1 2.4.32-1 Extended attribute shared library ii libaudio2 1.8-2 The Network Audio System (NAS).
