Hello, Same problem here, not solved. In my case, it appears that kdeprint send to cups a corrupt ipp. When I try to create a printer, error log from cups print the following messages:
[26/Dec/2006:23:35:28 -0200] CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer ipp://%08%10ٷ%10:631/printers/lex D [26/Dec/2006:23:35:28 -0200] CUPS-Add-Modify-Printer client-error-bad-request: The printer-uri must be of the form "ipp Seems that other functions are also affected: [26/Dec/2006:23:33:48 -0200] CUPS-Get-Devices ipp://%F8%B4%D9%B7%19:631/printers/ However, it is possible to add printers using cups web front-end. My cups.conf is configured to listen *:631. Kdeprint : 4:3.5.5.a.dfsg.1-4 kdelibs : 4:3.5.5.a.dfsg.1-5 cupsys : 1.2.7-1 Any clues ? . Thanks in advance. Waldo
