My /etc/syslog.conf already contained the directive kern.info |/var/lib/psad/psadfifo but the failure "Starting Port Scan Attack Detector and associated daemons: [*] psad lib directory: /usr/lib/psad does not exist, use --Lib-dir <dir> at /usr/sbin/psad line 2509." appears.
