Package: linux-image-2.6.18-3-686 Version: 2.6.18-7~bpo.1 Severity: important
Kernel boot, module cciss is loaded, internal disks are detected successfully detected, disks on MSA20 enclosure is detected (is listed in /proc/driver/cciss/cciss0) but cannot be accessed. Kernel try to read paritition table, but commands finishes on timeouts: ... kernel: cciss: cmd f7fc0000 timedout kernel: Buffer I/O error on device cciss/c1d5, logical block 122088432 kernel: cciss: cmd f7fc0000 timedout kernel: Buffer I/O error on device cciss/c1d5, logical block 122088432 kernel: cciss: cmd f7fc0000 timedout kernel: Buffer I/O error on device cciss/c1d5, logical block 122088452 kernel: cciss: cmd f7fc0000 timedout kernel: Buffer I/O error on device cciss/c1d5, logical block 122088452 ... Tool hpacucli (from HP) in this case not shows MSA20 enclosure as "slot" and all disks from this enclosure (assigned/unassinged) are invisible. I try kernels 2.6.18-1-686 and now 2.6.18-3-686, but with equal results. Tested with controllers SmartArray 6i and 6400. With kernel 2.6.17 all works fine.
