I haven't been able to reproduce it on an empty file yet, but it shows up consistently on my 13 Mb file from Gnucash 1.8.10. I will do some more experiments and see if I can trigger it.

I can't reproduce this. What architecture are you using? Can you give me a complete recipe for producing the crash, starting with an empty file? Thomas
