I've prepared an updated showimg deb from upstream 0.9.4-1 tarball.
Hope it's useful. changelog follows. diff.gz. appended.

+ use debhelper >> 4.0.0 because rules uses DH_COMPAT=4

+ recommend khelpcenter for online docbook manual
+ add homepage URL
+ bump standard-version 3.5.8 -> 3.6.1. Compared with

* rules: dh_makeshlibs to generate shlibs and ldconfig run in

* showimgapp/main.cpp: Fix kipi homepage URL, s/teeam/team/
* debian/lintian: suppress shlibs warning. Library only used
by programs delivered with this packages (and no headers are
installed). No pkg is again lintian 'clean'.

It would be nice if you can check it and use it as a base for an
update. I'm really interested in getting a showimg linked against
libkexif into sid. This allows me to fix the broken digikam (#299709)
If your busy in the near feature, let me know what other changes you
want to have implemented before an upload. If you have no time at
all, is a NMU okay?
