When you | build gretl for Debian, do you do a "gnome build" or a plain GTK | one?
Right, had forgotten about that. I use the simpler Gtk build. | I won't swear to it, but I think the gretl icon will get installed | automatically by "make install" in the case of a gnome build, but | probably not otherwise. | | In any case, the 'pkg-config --variable=prefix' business shouldn't | really be needed if gnome-related stuff is under /usr. | | I would recommend just modifying the install part of the build | script to put gretl.png or gretl.xpm (whichever is referenced in | gretl.desktop) in the appropriate directory for shared pixmaps. Yes, that is exactly what I did, using an additional command in the debian/rules [ which is a Makefile controlling our package build ].
