I am under the impression that the outcome of the naming controversy is that a modified verision of firefox cannot use the trademarked firefox name. Hence any firefox versions containing the term firefox anywhere are non-free. And since non-free software is not allowed in main, then any version of iceweasel containing the term firefox is not allowed in main. And non-free software in main is a severe policy violation (a bug with "serious" severity) and is a release blocker. This is why I increased the severity.
