Package: uw-imapd
Version: 7:2002edebian1-6
Severity: normal

I run several uw-imapd servers using ssl. As self signed certificate
expires in one year by default, all of them have expired.
I tried to manually extend expiration date of some of them but being
complex commands those of openssl after reading openssl docs I was not able to
make extended
certificates that works with imap uw-server and clients.

I suggest explaining that in README: "single command to extend
expiration dates", or provide some script to do it.

Finally I will create new self-signed certificates for my servers, but I
spent a lot of time with this and a single line in README with the
command I should have used could have avoided this.

A better solution would be using some system wide private key to sign
all certificates needed by servers in debian, but I suppose this is far
away from the scope of this package.
