You are right, there was a bug similar to that in 0.12.17-3 which -4 is supposed to fix. If you could please try that, I would be curious to know if that fixed it for you. Otherwise, I will need to look more into this problem since it may not be detecting the right "extensions" for wodim. If 0.12.17-4 doesn't work for you either, another thing you can try (with 0.12.17-4 only) is to remove the wodim package and install cdrskin. That's another cdrecord-compatible program and it may work better on your system. Of course, I'd still want to fix the wodim-related problem, but using cdrskin may allow you to burn your CDs in the meantime.
