If this has been discussed already, it would make sense to provide a pointer to or a summary of the discussion in debian/copyright. The issue of font source code is somewhat murky, I think. The current debian/copyright indicates the fonts are covered by the GPL, so the source code to the fonts should be provided, or (to be clear about this issue) a note that the current format is considered to be the source code.
