There is a Html and Xhtml module. I don't know about the status of the Html module. Last time I asked, the status of the Xhtml module was not sufficient for distribution. (I did not test these modules myself) However, you can try them and tell me. If they look like sufficient to you, then we will distribute them. The Html module is abandoned and should be replaced by the XHtml module (based on the Xml module). You can try the XHtml module by downloading it to e.g. test/Locale/Po4a and then use "PERLLIB=test po4a..." The problem of the Xml module for HTML documents is that this module do not know the HTML tags. The XHtml module teaches the Xml module how to handle the HTML tags (it should be equivalent to using the Xml module with a lot of options). > > Generic modules for derivative format: > > * xml: XML based format > > already derived by the docbook, guide and dia modules > > * tex: TeX based format > > already derived by the latex and texinfo modules > > > > Does it seems OK to you? > > How about the status of an HTML backend, which worked well for my > simple document? Is it too young to be written here, and aren't HTML > documents supported by any modules? Did you use the Html module in the past? If it was OK, it should still be OK and I can add it to the next release. Kind Regards, -- Nekral
