Yes, it seems to be the same problem as #283981. There is an experimental amd64 archive on alioth which uses gcc-4.0 as its default compiler. Additionally, the ppc64 archive on alioth uses gcc-4.0 as its default compiler. Both are archives are not official and not to be released any time soon.
