Package: aircrack-ng Version: 1:0.6.2-2 Severity: normal I'm not sure whether this counts as an airodump bug or a driver bug; I only know that in normal use (not monitor mode) the card works fine. I'm using an ipw2100 card with the current stock testing kernel and its driver. airodump-ng typically stops collecting data after a couple of minutes: the timer continues to run but no packets are seen. Restarting causes further data to be collected. When this happens, there is always a kernel log message like this:
Nov 10 02:27:49 localhost kernel: eth1: Reseting on mode change. There are also often notices about the card entering or leaving promiscuous mode. I have the card in monitor mode at the time and am running no other processes that could touch it. -- System Information: Debian Release: 4.0 APT prefers testing APT policy: (500, 'testing') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-686 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages aircrack-ng depends on: ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-7 GNU C Library: Shared libraries aircrack-ng recommends no packages. -- no debconf information -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
