Hm? We are talking about your bug description:

dpkg: error processing
/var/cache/apt/archives/wodim_5%3a1.0~pre4-1.1_i386.deb (--unpack):
 trying to overwrite `/usr/share/man/man1/readcd.1.gz', which is also in
 package cdrecord

But there is no readcd.1.gz in the cdrecord dummy package. And wodim
package does conflict with older versions of cdrecord package so they
cannot be installed together, only with the dummy package. So where does
the conflicting file come from?

And what exactly fails to burn a CD? How? Any error messages?
