I have some rdp sessions that I use fullscreen (at 1280x1024). Before the upgrade to kde 3.5.5 they always started fullscreen but now start always windowed. I have to set fullscreen at each run. At first fails (the caption and window bordar remain visible) but by minimizing and restoring the rdp window I finally get a fullscreen session as before.
