I'm not sure exactly which package I should be reporting this bug against, so please bear with me. :) My problem: web pages that ask for the 'courier' font look ugly. The font is very blurry, and lines that should be straight are not. I am attaching a picture of what the rendering looks like. As far as I can tell it's not actually courier that is being selected to draw the text: $ fc-match courier NimbusMonL-Regu.pfb: "Nimbus Mono L" "Regular" $ locate NimbusMonL-Regu.pfb /var/lib/defoma/fontconfig.d/N/NimbusMonL-Regu.pfb I would expect "Courier New" to be selected instead. - -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers testing APT policy: (530, 'testing'), (520, 'unstable'), (510, 'experimental') Architecture: i386 (i686) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.17-2-k7 Locale: LANG=en_GB.UTF-8, LC_CTYPE=en_GB.UTF-8 (charmap=UTF-8) Versions of packages defoma depends on: ii dialog 1.0-20060221-1 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe ii file 4.17-4 Determines file type using "magic" ii perl 5.8.8-6.1 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii whiptail 0.52.2-7 Displays user-friendly dialog boxe Versions of packages defoma recommends: pn libft-perl <none> (no description available) - -- no debconf information -----BEGIN PGP SIGNATURE----- Version: GnuPG v1.4.5 (GNU/Linux) iD8DBQFFNQxEshl/216gEHgRAq7jAKCjuGX12Zto39HCodWbrxZsGQSnbACgkCFa veyH3za0HPP47i6RsyuDFbg= =5eMH -----END PGP SIGNATURE-----
