Package: fuse-utils
Version: 2.5.3-4.1
Severity: minor

Hello!

Fusermount always fails if the root filesystem is mounted read-only, e.g.

sshfs -C -o idmap=user -o -n just:/an /example
fusermount: unable to open fuse lock file

It would be nice if fusermount had a command-line switch to disable
updating of /etc/mtab (a la mount -n).

Best regards,
 Alexei
