Package: proftpd Version: 1.3.0-10 Severity: grave Justification: renders package unusable
proftpd refuses to start with the following message: [EMAIL PROTECTED]:~$ sudo invoke-rc.d proftpd restart Stopping ftp server: proftpd. Starting ftp server: proftpd - Fatal: LoadModule: error loading module 'mod_ldap.c': Permission denied on line 18 of '/etc/proftpd/modules.conf' failed! invoke-rc.d: initscript proftpd, action "restart" failed. If I comment out mod_ldap.c in /etc/proftpd/modules.conf, the same happens with mod_sql_mysql.c I've not tested further, but I guess it's same with all modules. Downgrading to 1.3.0-9.1 solves the problem. -- System Information: Debian Release: testing/unstable APT prefers unstable APT policy: (500, 'unstable'), (1, 'experimental') Architecture: amd64 (x86_64) Shell: /bin/sh linked to /bin/bash Kernel: Linux 2.6.18-1-amd64 Locale: LANG=lt_LT, LC_CTYPE=lt_LT (charmap=ISO-8859-13) Versions of packages proftpd depends on: ii adduser 3.99 Add and remove users and groups ii debconf 1.5.6 Debian configuration management sy ii debianutils 2.17.3 Miscellaneous utilities specific t ii libacl1 2.2.41-1 Access control list shared library ii libattr1 2.4.32-1 Extended attribute shared library ii libc6 2.3.6.ds1-6 GNU C Library: Shared libraries ii libncurses5 5.5-4 Shared libraries for terminal hand ii libpam-runtime 0.79-3.2 Runtime support for the PAM librar ii libpam0g 0.79-3.2 Pluggable Authentication Modules l ii libssl0.9.8 0.9.8c-3 SSL shared libraries ii libwrap0 7.6.dbs-11 Wietse Venema's TCP wrappers libra ii netbase 4.27 Basic TCP/IP networking system ii perl 5.8.8-6.1 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction ii ucf 2.0015 Update Configuration File: preserv proftpd recommends no packages. -- debconf information: * shared/proftpd/warning: * shared/proftpd/inetd_or_standalone: standalone -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
