Originally, when I couldn't get Ant to work with Hecl, and didn't know it well anyway, I just forgot about it and wrote a Makefile. Someone has contributed an Ant build now that works with Sun's java. In any case, I know the files are building ok, so that's not the problem. Perhaps it merits its own bug report, or just to be forwarded upstream, but ant ought to give a little bit more detail, even without -verbose, if it can't find the compiler it expects to find. -- David N.
