Package: cdparanoia Version: 3a9.8-14 Severity: normal
Hi, today I tried Linux 2.6.19-rc1 with libata enabled to access my PATA CDROM drives. Using cdparanoia results now in a flood of warnings printed by the kernel: cdparanoia -B -d /dev/sg1 .... sg_write: data in/out 12/12 bytes for SCSI command 0x43--guessing data in; program cdparanoia not setting count and/or reply_len properly sg_write: data in/out 12/12 bytes for SCSI command 0x43--guessing data in; program cdparanoia not setting count and/or reply_len properly printk: 258 messages suppressed. sg_write: data in/out 30576/30576 bytes for SCSI command 0xbe--guessing data in; program cdparanoia not setting count and/or reply_len properly printk: 461 messages suppressed. .... The newest upstream (cdparanoia-III-10pre0) has the same problem. Tomorrow I'll try the patch mentioned in #348088 (Redhat SG-IO).
