When I've been upgrading ALSA modules by rebuilding a new version from
source, I've often forgotten to reload the soundfont for my EMU10K1
card. I have a script that runs at boot-up after /etc/init.d/alsa that
runs:
asfxload /usr/share/sounds/sf2/8mbgmsfx.sf2
but it would be good if the /etc/init.d/alsa script checked for a
configuration file which had the sound font loading details, and loaded
sound fonts as specified in the configuration file. This way, when ALSA
is restarted by /etc/init.d/alsa restart, the sound font is reloaded
automatically.
