I have aptitude setup to install recommended packages, there is no setting to do this with suggested packages, although these are displayed in a separate area when updating. I guess I would soon be downloading all of debian if there were. I only did install python-xml because it adds functionality to inkscape - not strictly necessary one [by now], nevertheless. my 2 cents: if the pyxml package was recommended by inkscape I could mark it such that it would be upgraded as long as inkscape is here, and removed when inkscape was removed - this helps me to cut down on system/update size. thank you very much Wolfram for your work on packaging this useful application - I will not remove it anytime soon :) My report maybe was just to help others spare the little guessing involved to get from the inkscape message to the appropriate apt action. peter -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
