Unfortunately (for me) this means that I can't run a OpenAFS
server on sarge...

Or did I miss something!? I.e. The {pt,vl}server refuses to start
due to this 'cosmetic' bug...

What mode should I give it to make it start since none of the
modes it recommends works?
