Hi, I am experiencing this bug also, and it looks to me as if it *is* related to the libapache2-mod-auth-mysql package. I cannot find any Apache2 module that is included, which is linked against libmysqlclient other than v15. Only libapache2-mod-auth-mysql itself which is linked against libmysqlclient v15.
Also, when attaching gdb to the apache process, it show /usr/lib/apache2/modules/mod_auth_mysql.so segfaulting. Is it possible that this behaviour is caused by the use of old style passwords?
