Which is what I did, only you keep closing it :) Hmm, seems the bug has been reassigned, I must have missed the mail about that. (By Filipus Klutiero, who was trying to be helpful but is not listed as maintainer.) The bug was originally opened against nvidia-kernel-2.6.16-2-686. I'm moving it to nvidia-kernel-2.6-*'s source package, since the probem is probably shared by all its offspring.
This was even discussed on debian-legal@ last month.
