Well, I would like to have all the packages we have on the CD pulled from etch, so I want d-e-config in etch alongside with all the other packages. > Great. "But" with the package from our (=debian-edu) archive?! My goal is to use the debian-edu archive only for testing, and to get all the packages we need into etch before it freezes. I am not sure we succeed, but will do my best to make it happen. We need fewer and fewer non-debian packages for each release, so I hope we can get down to < 5 packages for etch. > I mean, that the debian d-i (in it's released state on the official > etch cds or whatever medium) provides no means to load the > debian-edu-config udeb. Sure it does. When creating the CD, create .disk/udeb_include on the CD listing debian-edu-install-udeb, and the rest happen automatically. :) > For etch+1 I would be very happy to see a official debian dvd with > capabilities (select install, installgui, expert, skolelinux, > debian-med...) to (also) install CDDs (and not only pure debian), > which can only use packages from main, obviously. But it would be fairly easy to only enable the debian-edu udeb if some kernel option is passed into d-i, and get the d-i team to include it on the DVD. Of course we might not be able make sure all "our" packages are on the official DVD. :) Friendly, -- Petter Reinholdtsen -- To UNSUBSCRIBE, email to [EMAIL PROTECTED] with a subject of "unsubscribe".
