As indicated above, there could be some common problem by the
compilation of firefox for debian. There is more extensions that do not
work. For example these ones:
Html Validator

Firebug

Selenium IDE
http://www.openqa.org/selenium-ide/
Colorzilla
http://www.iosart.com/firefox/colorzilla/
Maybe they have something similar and the same reason why they do not work.
All these extensions are dealing something with the sourcecode of webpages.
