Package: nvidia-kernel-2.6.16-2-686 Version: 1.0.8762+1 Severity: normal
The kernel module is installed to /lib/modules/2.6.16-2-686/nvidia/nvidia.ko yet apparently the kernel doesn't look there for modules. This problem has been present on both my nvidia machines for a while and regardless of the kernel image used. I've always just copied it to somewhere under /lib/modules/2.6.16-2-686/kernel/ but this doesn't seem right. What's the Debian Way to let modprobe and friends find the module at its regular location?
