I am almost ready to make this bug RC. GPG has failed me on numerous occasions in the past week. Usually, I'd find ~/.gnupg/pubring.pgp.tmp next to a zero-sized ~/.gnupg/pubring.pgp, and the damage would be easily solved. Today it started to truncate the file:
-rw------- 1 madduck madduck 3725 2006-08-11 14:53 pubring.gpg -rw------- 1 madduck madduck 0 2006-08-11 14:53 pubring.gpg~ I also have backups, and it's arguable whether the pubring is data that needs to be guarded (I'd say YES), but this is clearly not acceptable. I was only using mutt regularly. I think I may have hit ctrl-c while mutt was taking ages as it downloaded the pubkey for a list post. -- Please do not send copies of list mail to me; I read the list! .''`. martin f. krafft <[EMAIL PROTECTED]> : :' : proud Debian developer and author: http://debiansystem.info `. `'` `- Debian - when you have better things to do than fixing a system
