This would fall under the grub-splashimages package instead. If we decide on a default I can set it up, just let me know. BTW, my laptop had broken and therefore was AFK so I hadn't updated grub-splashimages for a while. Expect a new release soon.

I already filed a request to grub-splashimages a while ago but did not get any response I guess the maintainer missed it, or is not actively developed anymore
