With 1.94-4 at least I could run

  grub-setup -r '(hd0,0)' '(hd0)'
  grub-setup -r '(hd1,0)' '(hd1)'
  grub-setup -r '(hd2,0)' '(hd2)'

It would be much easier/safer to just use the RAID for that:

  grub-setup -r /dev/md_d0p3 /dev/md_d0
