Package: cupsys-bsd
Version: 1.2.2-1

I have "JobSheets none none" set in every printer in /etc/cups/printers.conf
and every alias in classes.conf. /usr/share/cups/banners/* all have
permissions 000. Cupsd has been restarted a zillion times.

Despite this, printing from a Solaris 9 box ("echo Hello world | lpr")
always prepends a banner page with the CUPS logo on it. CUPS is not
installed on the Solaris box; this is using BSD printing on port 515.

lpr from the server machine does not print a banner page.

How do I turn this paper-wasting bubble machine off?

(Workaround found: adding "-o job-sheets=none" to the /etc/inetd.conf
line for cups-lpd seems to do the trick. This reduces the question to
why cups-lpd doesn't use the default.)
