I can't reproduce the bug here, with menu-xdg installed and menu not installed. Looking at the code, there is nothing that shouldn't work because of a dangling symbolic link. The only way the bug could possibly happen would be when using gamin over a NFS root directory. Is there anyone still able to reproduce it? -- .''`.
