Hi Paul, I cannot see where in module-assistant that states or suggests the CC environment variable is modified by it.
Specifically, I could not find any reference in: /usr/share/doc/modules-assistant/HOWTO-devel or /usr/bin/module-assistant I'd like to discuss this further though, and clear this up in one way or another.
