Package: dovecot-imapd Version: 0.99.14-1

I am using dovecot imap mail daemon on debian sarge. it looks to be just what I need. Using kernel 2.6.8-1-386.
I noticed a missing newline at the end of this command btw:
# /etc/init.d/dovecot restart Restarting mail server: dovecotnow2g:/etc/dove
When I did this command there was an problem, but I am using a default install without changing that file. Perhaps there is a problem.
# /etc/init.d/dovecot start Starting mail server: dovecotWarning: Corrected permissions for login directory /var/run/dovecot/login .
"/etc/init.d/dovecot restart" did not seem to work, i had to "stop" and then "start" before it would listen on imap port once I changed /etc/dovcot conf file.
dovcot does seem to work well though ;) I am using now, thanks for making this available!
