You can forget that. I know *have* reproduced the problem. I bet your /usr/lib is a symlink to /opt/lib and you have no similar thing for /usr/share. Which implies all the links in /opt/lib/firefox that link to ../../share are dangling symlinks. I'm afraid we're not going to support broken setups.
