No idea, maybe incapable of reading and/or interpreting the manpage and/or
other documentation like the FAQ?

The manpage states "-tint must be specified, too" in the description of
-sh.

Maybe that is the problem you are encountering?

The FAQ (urxvt(7)) also has lots of examples regarding
transparency. Reading that might have helped, too, as it provides
ready-to-run transparency examples.

So this is not a bug, at least not in the package.
