Since installing ejabberd there's an epmd daemon lurcking around.
As there is no manpage it's hard to find out what this thing does
as --help only says: "See the Erlang epmd manual page for info" :)
erlang manual pages are shipped separately from erlang itself and are
packaged to
erlang-manpages debian package. This package is suggested when erlang
is installed.
