Real bug, and my fault: the file debian/rules was calling the snippet to
create the postinst/postrm 'too late' so it never made it into the package.
Revision -5 will be forthcoming with the attached files as
/var/lib/dpkg/info/python-rpy.postinst
/var/lib/dpkg/info/python-rpy.prerm
You can call the postinst manually as in
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~> sudo /var/lib/dpkg/info/python-rpy.postinst configure
[EMAIL PROTECTED]:~>
The only thing I am a little unclear about is whether I should remove the old
file /usr/lib/python2.3/site-packages/rpy*.{pyo,pyc} or not....
