Package: vlc Version: 0.8.1-3 Severity: normal
Some hotkeys in VLC simply do not work. For example, "Jump 10 seconds backwards" does nothing, no matter what key I use. I've tried left arrow, tab, backspace, [, etc., and nothing ever happens. I've made sure that Gnome does not have any keyboard shortcuts set to use those keys. Yet "Jump 10 seconds forwards" works fine.
Also, setting volume up and volume down to the up and down arrows does not work, but setting them to Page Up and Page Down does work.
It's very peculiar the way some work and some don't.
The Windows version of VLC running in Windows 2000 does not have this problem at all. I hate to see the Linux version having a problem the Windows version doesn't have.
If I can help solve this bug, let me know.
