Hi, there are some seemingly random crashes on POWER, pretty much always inside ld64.so, like as[136668]: segfault (11) at 2a660 nip 7fff97976704 lr 7fff979758b8 code 1 in ld64.so.2[36704,7fff97940000+50000] as[136668]: code: 39210058 60000000 60420000 f9490008 f9490010 39290020 f949fff8 f9490000 as[136668]: code: 4200ffec 89210376 3d42ffff 394a7eb0 <e9028000> 7d081050 552906f2 f9410030 With the rather simple patch at https://lists.ozlabs.org/pipermail/linuxppc-dev/2026-August/301324.html the problem goes away for me. Kernels that include commit 263e5159e00a (which was introduced shortly after 7.2rc5) appear to be affected, and while the crashes are somewhat seldom, they are still annoyingly disruptive (I just compiled a kernel with "until make; do :; done" and counted nine iterations) and hit random processes, including ones that may be vital for the system.
