Description : sayings of the Prophet Muhammad(saw), in the shape of
fortune

hadith prints a saying of the Prophet Muhammad(saw), chosen at random, the
way fortune(6) prints a cookie. Run from a shell profile it gives one saying
a login; run with -m it is a plain-text search over the corpus.
 .
The corpus is "The Sayings of Muhammad", collected and translated by Abdullah
 al-Mamun al-Suhrawardy and published in 1905: 439 sayings arranged over 85
topics, plus four the book prints in its preamble. It is in the public domain
in the United States and in Europe.
 .
The sayings are shipped twice. hadith-suhrawardy is a modernisation of
Suhrawardy's Victorian English -- "pays" for "payeth", "you" for "thou" --
made so that they read as living language rather than as a museum piece.
hadith-suhrawardy-1905 is the original wording unaltered, installed beside it
so that every change made stays a diff a reader can check.

The source builds two binary packages:

  hadith - the command
fortunes-hadith - the cookie files, usable with fortune(6) on their own

On the licensing, since that is what a data package lives or dies by:

  * The 1905 text is public domain. Suhrawardy died in 1935 and the book was
published before 1930, so the term has expired in the United States, in
the EU and in the United Kingdom where it was published.
  * The source scan is of a later reprint. Only the 1905 sayings are taken
from it; the reprint's own preface and introduction are still in copyright
and are excluded by the parser.
  * The modernisation of the English is my own work and is dedicated to the
public domain under CC0-1.0. The 1905 wording ships beside it, so the
whole of the change is a diff a reviewer can check.
  * The packaging and tooling are GPL-3+.

debian/copyright accounts for every file, and DATA-LICENSE.md in the source
states the same per file in prose.

Precedent for a package of this shape: display-dhammapada and bible-kjv are
both in main on a public-domain declaration for their text, and the split into
a command package plus a data package follows bible-kjv / bible-kjv-text.

I am not a Debian Developer and will be looking for a sponsor for the upload.
