I really don't see why you increased the timeout. Increasing the timeout won't close this bug report. What would close it is documenting the fact that, starting with Trixie, this really doesn't work without a KVM. Enabling KVM in the BIOS solved it. It has nothing to do with the timeout. Martin-Éric
