Is it really a followup for #376868 ? #376868 is about dpkg-parsechangelog. Your bug is about dpkg-architecture. Also, I can't reproduce it (and all the people building packages neither). Are you running dpkg-architecture with a special kernel? On a chroot? with anything special? Does dpkg-architecture -f works better?
