Package: perl-modules Version: 5.8.8-6 Severity: important Hello,
perl-modules used to provide (at least in 5.8.8-4) the Encode/JP/JIS7.pm module. Now (5.8.8-6) Encode/JP/JIS7.pm is provided by perl. Thus with a new perl-modules and an old perl, the Encode/JP/JIS7.pm module is not installed. This is actually the case in mips (where perl FTBFS (so mips uses perl 5.8.8-4), and perl-modules (which is arch all) is 5.8.8-6). This currently causes a FTBFS for dpkg on mips (it also probably fails on hppa for the same reason, but the package was probably built before the perl-modules update). perl-modules currently depends on perl (>= 5.8.8-1).
