this mail deserves to be forwarded to debian-curiosa. you might want to read chapter 6.5 from the developers reference -> http://www.debian.org/doc/developers-reference/ch-best-pkging-practices.en.html#s-bpp-config-mgmt (6.5.2.5) the computer is not a person.
