Maybe modules.conf or README.Debian should point out that especially
either
LoadModule mod_sql_mysql.c
or
LoadModule mod_sql_postgres.c
/has to be/ commented out in order for SQL to work.
I had the same issue today wondering why after including SQL
configuration statements no database access was visible and the
connection was terminated. Only this bug report helped me to try
disabling mod_sql_postgres.c in order to get the connection to MySQL to
work.
