Package: apt-show-versions
Version: 0.09
Severity: normal

apt-show-versions is misbehaving for mailman. It says...

# apt-show-versions mailman
mailman 2.1.8-1 installed: No available version in archive

...but it is wrong, there is an available version...

# apt-cache policy mailman
mailman:
  Installed: 0:2.1.8-1
  Candidate: 0:2.1.8-1
  Version table:
 *** 0:2.1.8-1 0
        500 http://ftp.ndlug.nd.edu testing/main Packages
        100 http://ftp.ndlug.nd.edu unstable/main Packages
        100 /var/lib/dpkg/status

A likely cause of this misbehaviour is that the 'mailman' package has an
explicit zero epoch in its version: '0:2.1.8-1'. Whilst bizarre, this isn't
technically wrong.

Versions of packages apt-show-versions depends on:
ii apt 0.6.44.2 Advanced front-end for dpkg
ii libapt-pkg-perl 0.1.20 Perl interface to libapt-pkg
ii perl [libstorable-perl] 5.8.8-4 Larry Wall's Practical Extraction
